Nutritious Homemade Meals
Each Nursery has its own kitchen and chef who produce delicious and nutritious homemade meals using free-range meat, fish, fresh vegetables and fruit, which are all sourced from highly reputable suppliers. Every month we have International Day which encourages the children to try a variety of foods from around the world. We are mindful of special dietary requirements for religious and cultural reasons and to ensure that medical requirements are fulfilled. Please note all dietary requirements must be put in writing. We do not add salt or sugar to any of our recipes.
All of our meat products are supplied by the award winning Randall’s Butchers which is located on the Wandsworth Bridge Road.
Each classroom has an Eating Chart. This advises parents on the day’s menu and indicates how well your child has eaten that day.
Breaktime
In the morning the children are offered milk and/or water together with a snack of fresh fruit, crudites, homemade hummus or bean dip with crackers or pitta bread or yoghurt. We encourage the children to hand out the cups and snack and they are supported in pouring their own drink.
Lunchtime
Lunch is served in three different sittings and the children sit down to a delicious home cooked meal. Their teachers encourage good manners and the correct use of cutlery. The children are given a fruit platter for pudding.
Teatime
Teatime begins at 4.00 pm. Our chefs prepare a nutritious evening meal for the children. The children will be given a fruit platter for pudding.
Nut Aware
Please note we follow a very strict ‘no nut policy’ and due to various allergies within the school, we kindly ask that your child does not bring in food from home. If there is a special circumstance, please email the Schools Office in advance.
