Teaching

Our teaching takes into account the whole child…

At Pippa Pop-ins, our Teachers are highly qualified and experienced.  The qualifications vary and are as follows:

Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Bachelor of Education, Montessori Diploma, NNEB, Early Years Educator, NVQ Level 3, Level 3 and 5 in Management of Early Years or an Overseas Diploma (equivalent or higher).

Pippa Pop-ins encourages their staff to continue with their Professional Development and sponsors training courses.

All our staff have been very closely vetted by Pippa Pop-ins and references taken for the security and the welfare of your child.  All have had Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and they all complete a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course whilst at Pippa Pop-ins.

Continuity of Care

Pippa Pop-ins does not run a shift worker system.  All our staff are employed on either a full-time or part-time basis so your child will have the continuity of the same teacher throughout the week, unless they do a mixture of sessions.  If a teacher is unwell or unable to come to work, a member of our own team (cover teacher) will take their place.

Ratios

The teacher to child ratio is dependent on the age of your child. For your information we have listed them below.

Age of Children Teachers to Children Ratio
1 to 2 Years 1:3
2 to 3 Years 1:5
This is in older Dragonflies and Transition class 3 to 5 Years 1:8
